Message from the General Manager

Welcome to the latest issue of the SmartBay Ireland bi-monthly newsletter.

In each issue, you can expect updates on activities at the SmartBay Test Site, relevant EU projects, what's happening in the Marine Industry nationally and internationally, funding opportunities, local community engagement initiatives and team updates.

As we continue to work through these strange times, we are looking ahead to future opportunities to develop projects. Our Ocean DEMO and JERICO-S3 projects currently have open calls offering free access to the SmartBay facility to successful applicants in 2021.

In this issue, we also highlight a number of exciting developments in the marine industry such as a new marine innovation park in Cill Chiaráin, County Galway, the Marine Ireland Industry Network and SmartBay's involvement in the CMMI MaRITeC-X project in Cyprus.
